The SimonBart Gallery presents Elsa, an exhibition project by Italian artist Malisa Catalani. The opening event took place on February 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM, by invitation only, at the Tiffany & Co. venue in Bologna, located in Galleria Cavour 9/O.
At the heart of the exhibition is the artist’s latest creation, Elsa, a tribute to the legendary designer Elsa Peretti, which have been displayed alongside three other works from the Butterfly series.

Inspired by this iconic quote from Elsa Peretti, sculptor Malisa Catalani explores similar themes in her artistic research. Elsa, the artist’s latest work, encapsulates the same ideals of female empowerment that made Elsa Peretti a revolutionary figure in the world of jewelry and design.
Initially conceived as fragmented women, Catalani’s figures are reborn from their scars, now soaring in flight—strong in their reclaimed independence, deeply rooted in their femininity.
At the heart of the sculpture lies white topaz, a symbol of clarity, purity, and innocence—an ode to living life fully and embracing one’s choices without compromise.
