This sculpture is inspired by Greek mythology: HI-MEROS is the name of the Greek Godof erotic desire. Some versions of the myth narrate that Aphrodite was pregnant two twins: Eros and Himeros, with the latter being the personification of wild love desire and sexual lust. The sculpture represents the body interspersed with bands and waves; theGreeks had already recognized the close connection between water, love, and pleasure, attributing the birth of Aphrodite to the sea foam.
