Poltu Quatu - Porto di Cultura
Beatriz Gerenstein 1 Jun - 30 Sep 2019 Beatriz Gerenstein sculpts her anthropomorphic figures following the line of emotions. Gerenstein's sculptures are a journey into the feelings of the human being, through her works she describe, in fact, the founding values of humanity and of a possible civil society. In a world full of violence, selfishness and greed, the Argentine artist chooses to illustrate the best aspect of humanity, where positive energies can contribute to a real change.
The Third Partner, installed in the main square of Poltu Quatu, already presented at the 16th Venice Biennale of Architecture, is the sculpture that best expresses the socio-anthropological reflections of the artist who in this work reconstructs the idea of harmony, balance to rediscover through feelings like altruism, sense of cohesion, respect for nature and for each other. Poltu Quatu - Porto di Cultura
Aleandro Roncarà 1 Jun - 30 Sep 2019 Aleandro Roncarà presents a selection of works in which he translates the gray and unnerving modern society into an imaginary world, where the daily frenzy turns into a lively game of colors, among which it is possible to see characters with exasperated characteristics, caricatures, figures symbol of our everyday life, like the Centòmini, the protagonist of Mondorondo, the parallel universe created by the artist, in which Centòmini is a common hero who does not respect the stereotypes of contemporary aesthetics and hardly honors the conventions, “is small but has the strength, the wisdom and intelligence of a hundred men”(A. Roncarà). For the art project, Roncarà has also realized a site-specific work in the port of Poltu Quatu village, painting one of the cranes used for the movement of boats. A piece of his colorful world thus invades the reality to allow the public to dive lightly, at any time, in an existence only made of color and passion. Read more -

On display urban landscapes of Neo-Impressionist origin where light and color transform the immaterial into tangible reality. Ziv Cooper’s paintings, indeed, arise as instruments capable of modulating and fragmenting the light beam, the chiaroscuro impresses on the canvas city views that vanish into perspective and turn into dreamlike scenarios. As in a dream, the artist recomposes images of the cities he passes through, transcribing on canvas the snapshots of moments in which natural and artificial light highlight the characteristics of the urban space.
