Mario Ceroli (born 1938) is an Italian sculptor and set designer known for revolutionizing sculpture through the use of wooden silhouettes.
He began his career working with ceramics and was awarded the Prize for Young Sculpture at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome in 1958.
In the 1960s, influenced by Pop Art, he started creating stylized human figures in raw wood, often arranged in serial repetitions.
Ceroli also worked extensively in theater and cinema, designing stage sets.
Among his monumental works is the Cavallo alato (Winged Horse, 1990), located at the RAI headquarters in Saxa Rubra, Rome.
