Biography
Keith Haring (1958 – 1990) was an American artist and activist known for his instantly recognizable style, characterized by bold lines, stylized figures, and vibrant colors.
Emerging from the New York graffiti scene of the 1980s, Haring brought art into public spaces, transforming walls, subways, and city squares into platforms for social communication.
His works addressed issues such as civil rights, AIDS, homosexuality, and the fight against racism, using a visual language that was both accessible and deeply meaningful.
A close friend of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Haring merged the iconic power of imagery with the strength of his message, establishing himself as a key voice in pop culture and contemporary visual activism.
