Biography
Rabarama, artist name of Paola Epifani, was born in Rome in 1969.
Daughter of an artist, she trained at the Treviso School of Art and later at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts. Graduated in 1991, she participated in numerous national and international sculpture awards. At the end of 2000 he exhibits in Paris. In 2001 he created a monumental sculpture for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Boca Raton in Florida. In 2001 he made several monumental sculptures then exhibited at the Palazzo Bricherasio Foundation in Turin, the Dolores Olmedo Patio Museum in Mexico City, the Fleury Museum in Lodéve (France), at Open 2002 in Lido di Venezia, at the Beijing Art Biennale, at the San Salvatore in Lauro Museum in Rome.
She participated in the 54th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale for the Italian Pavilion with the monumental sculpture entitled Abbandono, in marble, exhibited at the Arsenale. Other of his works are now present at the Beijing Biennale Art Museum, at the Sculpture Space in Shanghai and at the Copelouzos Museum in Athens. In addition, the city hall of Shanghai has purchased one of its monumental works, which was the first Italian work purchased by the Chinese government.
In 2016 she participated in the Biennale of Vught, Holland, and in the Asolo Art Biennale (TV), in Italy. Since 2022, in collaboration with Philart, she exhibited in numerous cities: Riccione and Positano with the exhibition "Synàntis", Trieste with "The myth of African Art in the 20th century" and Oisterrwijk, Holland, with the monographic exhibition "Ubi Ubi Es". She attended the MIDA - International Museum of Women Artists, as well as the Brabant Biennale in Tilburg (Netherlands).
Among the most recent exhibitions: "ShapINside" at Palazzo Bricherasio in Turin; "The Female Sculpture, Symbol of Freedom" in Positano; "The spiritual balance between lights and forms" - Galleria d'Arte Malipensa, Turin, "Erotica-mente" at the SimonBart Gallery in Bologna.
Rabarama currently lives and works in Padua.
